Writing On The Wall

Writing On The Wall

A Poem by Ursula Kay Vos
"

Dedicated to the Unknown Author who wrote the poem at the end.

"

How Sad to see

A work translated

To art

Left unclaimed

Penned On Painted walls

Adorned with graffiti

sits a gem

waiting for love to fall

Amongst its peers

This dove coos softly

The musings of a teens heart

So pure with so far yet to go

In these words

Wise beyond her years

Stands a lesson

Forgotten

She wrote this from her soul

From her heart

Her love

She hides not

These words this girl's displayed

If I knew her name

I'd thank her here

Her writings on the wall

Read,

I will be your ambulance,

If you will be my accident

And I will be your screech and crash,

If you will be my crutch and cast

And I will be your one more time,

If you will be my one last chance

Such sweet words

 of love and caring

From a sweet heart

 of a young girl yearning

Beautiful words

From a heart so young

Setiments

of innocent love

If only I knew

this young poets face

I would gaze on her innocence

into my past and say

Oh how I remember this feeling

This love

When it once felt

This way

Author's Note

Ursula Kay Vos
I am for the purposes of this poem assuming that the unknown author is a teen and a girl because I did find this poem in the girls restroom at a rest stop bathroom written on the bathroom stall wall. The photo that is posted with this poem is the photo of the actual poem... The actual poem that was written by the Unknown Author is in the stanzas between the portions "Read" and closes with "Author Unknown" Just for the legalities of it all although I am not entirely sure how that all works. As always your feedback and critiques are always welcome and appreciated!! UKV

This is wonderful. Amazing what can spark you off and draw a piece from you. It has a great flow and a perfect way to encase her work inisde yours. If there were any changes, I'd just stick with the 'original' name of Sh*t House Poet. I love the way she and yourself have writtent to seprate but complementarty love poems. Absolutley terrefic. I'm glad you stopped for a rest there.
