Of What Couldl've Been

Of What Couldl've Been

A Poem by Ursa major

I am the ghost of the one once here

Fire coals going out

With tide on water

The memories used to come

Splintering in my head

When playing the game

Of what could've been

The days of past regret

In my mind

But pieces are gone

 Yet Never returned

I am the ghost of the won once here

To stay in this makeshift body

The person who was is gone

You broke that person

That you can't put together

 But A new one rises

Out of the drowning

When playing the game

Of what could've been

I am not the ghost anymore

I am the risen one

From ashes I spring

With moon comes light

When playing the game

Of what could've been

It is a triumph to turn a negative into a positive. To rise from the ashes of a failed relationship paves the way for future opportunities. No longer broken I would say. Thank you for sharing.
