watching bubbles of light

in black sky oceans

they surround

and consume us

Us, who have placed ourselves between

the goddess of love

and the god of war

and we keep swimming

in the ocean of nothing

on our own ball of rock

which we've named for our good soil

as we surround and devour the light

given to us by a burning god

we have also named

and we live our lives

play our games

laugh

cry

f**k

kill

die

in this ocean of nothing

we cannot find

because it was never there
