Pierce my heart

Pierce my heart

A Poem by Siddhiwinayak Sridhar
"

A poem about how a man feels after being rejected by his friend to whom he proposed his love

"
You pierce my heart
Every time I see
For I will never ever be really free
From thoughts of you so
Every time I go
By your side
I remind myself of the self bound rules by which I abide
Every time you smile
I push myself away by a mile
For I know I am not the cause of it
Like a venomous snake it bit
My feelings, for they were prey
To you, the monster in grey
I knit my mind too tight
Knowing my heart can't take the pain, In spite ...
Of what you did I forgive
With malicious intent on mind
I take a shiv
Until I remind myself of love that bind
My likes who can't take
Rejection, can't believe for it to have been fake
For I will never ever be really free
Your thoughts will always leave me glee
As you pierce my heart again
