Content with Dementia: PrologueA Story by UponTheBrinkThis is kind of an intro to a story I'll probably never finish. I just had a few words running around my head that I wanted to get out there. On another note, I like stories about insanity.
"This skin is such a burden--such a nuisance. Maybe if I just...get rid of it..." A teenage boy fiddles playfully with a knife, twirling it against his skin, watching the little trickles of blood. A menacing smile held on his face. He can feel every slice against him, and he loves it.
Suddenly, his thoughts are vocalized. "Oh, oh, how I desire to be free! Free of this cage! Of this body! Of this life! Oh, how I desire to be free!" With each word his arm swings, and he slashes away at his flesh. Blood paints the room. His laughter is cut short as he passes out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
