Does Gay Mean Hell?

I'm not gay but a good number of my friends are. This is a Rap I wrote because in the last three weeks 6 homosexuals took their lives because of pressure from our society.

How, how, how,

How do we do this?

How do we act the way we do?

When you know full well what lies deep inside you.

This pain we carry,

It weighs out the hate you’re bearing

Live in peace?

Ha, try pieces.

How can we find love in all the right places,

When hate lives on in others faces?

I try to tell you when you’re mistaken

But all you can feel is this hate in-

Side this place ‘n’

You know what’s wrong

So why not change? It’s

Hard enough to find some peace without you breakin’,

Hearts and Minds and Souls and Bones.

Broken hearts means broken homes!

Does Gay mean Hell? HELL NO!

So why act like it does?

We all know different.

So why act ignorant?

Let life be as meant to be,

And let those who love live happy.

mmm...how did it come to this? Like, I thought gays were getting more accepted. I read about those suicides. Regardless of religion or beliefs, i think that people should not be pressured into suicide because of the orientation. You may not agree with their lifestyle, but i think we all should agree that they don't deserve to die and are still human and part of us regardless.

i have gay friends too, and i'm not really clear how i feel anymore, but i'm not gonna judge based on my own religion, when i already fail myself lol

It happens because ignorance is taught at home, and we live and learn what we are taught - the change comes when we decide to think for ourselves and not regurgitate what propaganda the media feeds us. I am gay. I'm also intelligent, a parent, a friend, a woman, a productive member of society, a writer, a lover, and I refuse to accept that I am less because of who shares my bed.
