To, You; From, My Heart

To You,

 

i don't know if i can take any more of this.

what did we do? what beat did we miss?

is it too late to go back? is it?

or am I stuck with this?

 

you left me here brokenhearted.

you left me here to cry.

you left me here to pick up the pieces,

so basically, you left me here to die.

 

I'm not sure what I still feel,

I don't know if you broke me to bits.

Sure maybe I can pick up the remains,

But I'll feel like I touched the oven without a mitt.

 

This may not be the end of us,

We may last forever,

But for now I'll cry for you,

Even if these tears dry up.... never.

 

So I'll be strong,

Sure I'll mourn, but one day,

I'll find my true happiness,

Maybe, someday...

 

Anyway, I'll leave you this.

You still have my everything,

And left me with nothing,

But I live to hear my world sing.

 

I'll smile again,

I know I will,

You can't take that away from me,

And you never will.

I'm just amazed. I understand the whole poem and the feelings involved, I've been through it before and it must have been so hard for you and brave to write such a piece. The piece is emotional and loving. I love it.
