Broken Sunlight

Broken Sunlight

A Poem by Owl's Wing

Ring around the rosies,
Pockets full of posies
Ashes, ashes
We all fall down...
Where there are merry children
Dancing in the lovely sunlight
And flowers perfume the air
And pixies live without care
Where the sky is bluer than the sea
And wars are over, the prisoners free
And we shout with joy and smile in glee
About the sweet life we have, so preciously kept...
Until the peace is killed.
Where there are bitter ghosts,
Dancing in the broken sunlight,
Where death perfumes the air
And demons live in every care
Where the sky has fallen, no longer to be seen
And wars are over: everyone's dead
Where in pain we shout and scream
About the hell that we have, so dreadfully kept...
Never to end since the peace was killed.
Ring around the rosies...
Pockets full of posies...
Ashes...ashes...
We all...fall...down...
