Seeing

Seeing

A Poem by Unwelcomeguest
"

The spread of mankind

"

You see?

You see this world?

Down there in the inky black, you see?

What do you see?

Can you see the rivers gushing?

Can you see the birdies rushing?

Can you see the daisies pushing?

Can you see?

Can you see the beasties shaking?

Can you see the possums faking?

Can you see the lizards baking?

Can you?

I see none of this.

Man is in my way

Standing,

doing nothing.

I think that the shorter it is, the more i wonder about it. I think this is my favorite if yours.

This was short, but I think that made it great in it's simplicity. I thoroughly agree with the message in this poem. Excellent write.

Isn't it wonderful... being a part of a breed who can't simply sit and be... they're too busy with their silicon toys and bomb wagons

Another good poem about how people do nothing to help, though in this case its the enviroment. I have to say I completly agree with this poem and I wish more people would realize the dire consequences that we are going to face some day because of our own selfish actions. Unfortunatly they probably wont care. Overall a good write.

Well, I'm sixteen and essentially sick and tired of the utter mundanity of the world I get to live in. When I was younger I would pretend to be an alien and escape from school or have imiginary sword .. more..
