Accidentally In Love-Chapter 1

His name was Demetri Walker, and he was my fathers hired help. I never really thought I'd ever fall in love with someone, I always assumed my father would show me his friends sons and then one day, I'd be married to one of them. It just seemed thats how it would happen, but I was glad to be wrong. 

Let me start at the beginning, the day I first saw him...

"Kalie!"(Kal-e) My father called me threw the intercom system. I groaned. The intercom had always woken me up, always called me, and today it decided to call extra early, on a Saturday of all days. 

"Coming!" Yawning, I threw on jeans and a tee shirt, if my father called it was for a good reason. He wouldn't like it if I showed up in old sweats. Stupid rich society!

Downstairs in the kitchen my father stood with a greasy haired man and a boy about my age from the look of him.

"Kalie this is Antonio Walker, and his son Demetri. I've hired the two of them for the summer to help with the gardening chores." 

"Hello." I smiled and nodded. 

"Good, good," My father nodded as well, "Then I'm off to show them around the grounds. Do you have any plans for today?" 

I pulled my hair back into a ponytail, "Yes, Derek and Zach are coming over later and were going to work on Zach's car." 

I could see the disapproval in his eyes, but he nodded and walked off. I never had been very girly, but I wasn't about to change that just so my father could be a hundred percent pleased. 

"See how it runs now!" I shouted to Zach who was siting in the trucks drivers seat. Slowly me and Derek backed away from the old truck, just in case it backfired. It stalled again. 

"D****t!" He pounded his fist against the steering wheel. I went around the side and lifted the hood, frowning. "I don't know dude, this may not run."

I felt some one behind me, turning around I saw it was Demetri. 

"Oh!" I jumped a little, he was close. Derek walked up to him.

"Need something?" He asked, glaring. I lightly shoved him. 

"Do you need any help with anything?" I asked, smiling. 

"Oh I just saw you guys were having trouble....I think I can fix the truck, Ive worked on my dads before." Demetri said quietly, his black hair was covering his eyes.

Derek stepped back, amused. 

"Go for it." Zach encouraged. 

I looked over at Derek, he was glaring again. 

Author's Note

Her name is pronounced "Kal-e"
I wanted Kalie to be a tomboy sort of girl because I love making my character extra ordinary because I feel that it gives a little more to the story, also she goes off of Demetri who is shy and a little less darning.

Yes, I know its terribly short and....boring. But I needed to get the story going!! :)
