Come On and Kill Me

Ehh, poem. About .... someone.

I look you in the eyes,
Just to find
Im mesmerized.
And I can't look away.

We never talk much
in person
but Ill always hope you're there.

You say you love me,
You say we're just friends.
Tell me how you feel
and make up your mind.

Cuz my heart is breaking
and you can't fix it
this time
and maybe never again.

You say you'll miss me
Is that a lie?
I wouldn't know.
anymore.

I gave you my heart
and now its in pieces
But every time you say you love me

My heart sings and Im not trying
to stop it. Is this love?
Or is is this all in my head?
I lie here bleeding and broken and I wonder.

Why dont you just find some one else?
Just leave me in the dust.

Fade away
like a picture or a distant memory.

Bleed
like a broken heart

Tear me apart
like paper

My skin
cuts like butter

Teardrops
fall like rain

Hearts
break like glass

Love
is a deception

And watch me fall
Like an autumn leaf.

Just go on a leave me
Just come on and Kill me.

Cuz you can't break my heart
If its not beating.

Im not in your league.
Ive never known anyone who is.
and I dont deserve you.
yet I cant walk away.

And for some reason
you stay.

Even if we will only ever be friends,
You could do so much better
and you Have so much better

Yet you still love me.
And all I can do
Is struggle with my feelings
as you fade away.

As I write yet another poem about you,
I wonder.
And as I see your eyes,
two small, ice blue eternities,

Of broken promises
and meaningless words
I turn my head
and look away

Flow like water
through the cracks
and Slip like sand
through the hourglass.

Our time is almost gone ....  ♥
