1 WEEK LATER...

She awoke, panting, from a dream about Demitri. But, this time, it was not a nightmare she awoke from. Still trying to catch her breath, she rolled from her bed. She skipped looking in her mirror all together and pulled her hair up into a bun even though she knew that, later, Demitri would insist on her taking it down. it had been 1 week since Demitri and come back and explained why he left. Apparently, his dad had been beating his mother usually after coming home drunk.

After his mom finally got the courage to leave, He moved on to Demitri. Shortly after, Demitri started cutting. He was so ashamed, he convinced himself that Leila would hate him and broke off all contact with her. When he finally got the nerve to come back, at first she was furious with him. How could he? But then he had explained and she fiercely proved his assumption wrong by kissing him deeply in the middle of the sidewalk.

She smiled and touched her lips lightly at the memory. They had planned to meet that day at his house. She practically danced to her radio where she put on her favorite song and started to sing along to the lyrics.

Do I have to spell it out for you
or scream it in your face?
Oh, the chemistry between us could destroy this place
Do I have to spell it out for you
or whisper in your ear?
Oh, just stop right there
I think that we've got something here

She walked to her closet and pulled out her jeans, a white camisole, and her bright yellow t-shirt with the cartoon raccoon and a heart that was a little tight. She slid out of her pajamas and then pulled her jeans up over her boxers, up past her belly button carefully covering her belly. Then she pulled on her white camisole, pulling it down way bellow the button of her jeans. Then on went her yellow tee. She looked in the mirror satisfied. She put on concealer and chap stick, a walked downstairs and outside.

She'd been smart enough to leave a note to remind her mom where she was going. She walked into the sun, and left her darkness.

He opened the door on the 1st knock to find her face staring up at him. He looked in her eyes and noticed how the dark blue reminded him so much of the ocean. His eyes were drawn to her chest by the bright yellow and cartoon raccoon that made him laugh. He soon noticed it was tight and showed off her curves. He sighed in contentment. She cleared her throat softly "So can I come in or what?" he smiled and toke her hand so he could pull her inside. She walked in with an air of confidence that made him gape. He was just noticing how her held her head up but some how managed to look completely relaxed.

She walked over, sat on his couch, and motioned for him to join her. He put on a movie and sat close to her. She put her feet on the couch and laid her head on his chest with a sigh of contentment. He wrapped his arms around her and I think it's safe to say neither one was watching the movie. He leaned in and nuzzled her neck. "I missed you" he whispered. She buried her face in the curve of his shoulder, breathing in the smell of him. Ivory soap and Axe. She decided it was probably the best smell in the universe.

"Oh yeah?" She whispered "Well you smell good." She could feel him smiling against her cheek. He reached up and pulled her hair out of the elastic and watched it tumble around her shoulders. Almost immediately, the floral scent of her shampoo surrounded them. "Well so do you." He whispered. "Mmmm." he nipped her ear. She turned  her head and met his lips half way. They kissed deeply until they both had to come up for air. She bit his lip, as she found the hem of his shirt.

She ran her hands up and under his shirt and gasped as she felt his numerous muscles flex and shudder under her fingers. They were lying side by side on the couch by now and she removed her hands and scouted forward. Her hand momentarily slipped in between the couch cushions. She immediately pulled it out after feeling a sharp pain. Her palm was bleeding like crazy. "S**t" she mumbled as she untangled her limbs from his and walked to the bathroom to try to stanch the bleeding.

He came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. But then he looked over her shoulder and she felt his muscles tense. "Oh s**t. Leila ... I’m so sorry..." She snorted. "I’m fine. It’s nothing, really. It just needs-" but she never got to finish her sentence because she fainted in his arms.

~*~

She awoke. in the hospital, feeling heavy and light at the same time. Great she thought I'm probably  stoned on some weird hospital  pain killers. She felt one of her hands was bandaged and she could feel it's wetness. She felt her blood, but something not as thick also. She looked down to see Demitri cradling her hand in both of his, crying softly into it. "Demitri..." she whispered. He looked up at her and she touched his wet face. "Don’t cry." He walked over and crawled in her bed and she cradled him as he cried.  She got a glimpse of his arm and gasped. It was cut up so bad, she could hardly recognize it. "What happened?!" she asked stroking his arms. She looked at all the cuts. "One cut for every minute I thought I'd never hear you say my name again." he whispered. She leaned in close to his ear. "Demitri. I love you and I’m safe now. I'm sure I am." He looked at her, his pale green eyes watery. " I love you too." he said. she smiled. "I know."

So tonight I'll sit and pick apart your pictures
And overanalyze your words
But the truth is that I've never fallen so hard
It's taking everything in me
Just to forget your sweater so far
