It Won't Be Soon Before Too LongA Poem by SilentAuthor
The crimson stains her fingertips
The fire burns in her eyes Her skin may shine of moonlight But judge her and be scrutinized The illusion on her innocence The kindness in her tone A master of the angelic form Her halo has now been disowned Her wings have been torn from upon her flesh And are laying tattered upon the ground The delicate feathers that once graced her back Destroyed and keeping her earthbound The clouds that once graced her beauty The glitter and sparkle dismissed No longer a part of her immortality No longer the gods mistress The angel of day and sunlight No longer a part of her plan Her soul handed over in a silver vial The darkness is now her brand The angelic beauty accepted the deal The golden fiddle has now been played The dance with the devil finished in beat His honesty always a charade Sunlight no longer her craving Replaced now with crimson desire Walking within the midnight lining Her veins ablaze with inner fire The glow of the moon surrounds her She basks within its form Immortal night forever hers Her previous self in mourn All a sacrifice for her heartbeat All for the one she did love To protect her true from his inevitable harm Rejecting a life without him above With the signing of the crimson ink Her signature set in stone Giving it all up just to be with him Not wanting to be alone To his arms she remembers rushing To be held tightly in his embrace But knowing something was instantly wrong The feeling of joy was misplaced Within his eyes was sorrow He knew it was already too late Wishing he could turn back the clock And stop her from ruining her fate He had already accepted the inevitable Even though she refused to believe He was to become another of fiery hell To think otherwise was beyond naïve She wept her final farewell to him As he showed her the love he shared With each step away his fate fell in place As he told her not to be scared She watched him fade from her tear stained eyes Believing now her life was forever lost Lost from her love, and from her angelic glow She could feel the darkened frost Unknown to her, this fate was false As a soul had already been offered He had offered his own for her true fate A deal he had to keep covered She will return to her wings of white once more And he will know what he did was right His final act of love to her Letting her return to her light Her tattered wings will become his own The crimson craving but a song He will accept the darkness for her It won't be soon before too long © 2014 SilentAuthor |
