You Threw It Away

You Threw It Away

A Poem by Unloved_kitty

You're the one who pushed me away,
Don't you dare pin the blame on me,
I was the one who tried,
Tried to fix both of us,
I always give,
You always take.

You looked for any excuse,
Just to walk away,
To end this all,
I believed everyday,
That you loved me,
You made me wait for you to say goodbye.

I should of been the one,
To end this all,
But I was so weak,
Your lies made me crumble.

You're running circles in my head,
As I sit alone in this cold room,
It's about as empty as my heart,
You should of set me free,
From your web of deceit.

I never thought I'll be the one,
To walk away,
Never thought it'll end like this,
Such a tragedy was our love.

The love I longed to have,
You threw it away.

A powerful and well written poem. I can relate to this poem to some degree. A recent break-up felt about the same way you described. A very good poem.
