My Lover, You Broke Me

My Lover, You Broke Me

A Poem by Unloved_kitty

With every smile,
I feel broken,
The tears fall and crash,
Like stones hitting the ground.

My mind is a mess,
A storm of fantasies,
Each wanting to become reality,
But my conscience kicks in,
Bringing me back to the cruel world.

Save your breath,
I need to talk,
Open your eyes,
Our love was blind.

Never again will I fall,
Into someone's arms,
Too high my walls,
Defending me from my own heart,
From what it desires.

Cause in the end,
I'll be left alone,
Too broken to be fixed,
My love that won't be given,
My mind will be spared.

A shooting star,
Lost its shine,
Crashing down to earth,
Along it's journey,
Spent alone,
Destined to be a cold hard rock.

Let's keep this simple,
My lover, you broke me.

We all have a breaking point to where one can push us. We just take it all in until we crack, n we never end up telling them. They never seem to realize the damage they have done.
