I Deserve This Punishment

I led you on,

Thinking that I liked you,

Turns out I didn't,

I'm sorry for everything.

I broke your heart,

Tore it into two,

Made you angry,

Made you sad.

I lost your trust,

Now our friendship is gone,

Something I hoped we could keep,

Silly I know,

But how I wish things can be normal again.

I want you to forgive me,

You don't have to forget,

Forget the pain I caused you,

Please I don't want you out of my life.

You're a good friend,

I could never see you as anything more,

Or anything less,

I guess all I can do is wait,

Wait for time to heal your broken heart.

I hurt you,

For that I deserve this punishment,

The punishment which is the silence.
