A Poem by Bound In Red

She thought she was ready
To be free
Of that cage.

The door has been wide open,
For awhile now.

This little bird
Just forgot how to fly
Up, up, into the sky.

She has flapped her wings,
Once or twice.
But they just do not work anymore.

This little bird has forgotten her song to sing,
Turning her into ice.

I just want to soar..

It's amazing how people can forget how to fly and are too afraid to try again, keep themselves locked up for so long even after opportunities pop up all around them. Some people stay trapped forever because they are their own cage. Cool write. I really enjoyed it.

I like it. I really hope the little bird learns to fly :)
It can be hard to if they have been caged for so long.

thank you for the review.
Sadly true an image literal and otherwise.
You have brought to mind how one loses ones art when put in forced seclusion.
thx
