First Quest

I had to write this for a class, It's about the Greek Gods.

Once upon a time…o who am I kidding with that? It all started when I was five years old, an enormous monster tried to kill me. Thankfully I was too powerful for it to hurt me. That day was the day I found out that I wasn’t human well full human to say. I can use fire in many different was its very strange, my eyes will change to a red glowing fire like when I’m mad or in danger of fighting someone. I’m not afraid to hurt anyone that comes in my way, I love seeing the pain that comes from them it joys me. My friends often get scared but never have they stopped from leaving me alone. One of them I may say is Alice, she says she has to protect me from evil but I’m always doing that for her. My mother is Saphire, but she is no longer here she died when I was ten from a murder. Now I’m fourteen I live with Alice and her parents, I’m more of their kid now also but that’s just strange for me and Alice now because she is my best friend. I only trust very few people/things in my life things always happen to go wrong when I’m around. Oh and my name is Nyxia, yes it’s a strange name but my father named me, that also I don’t know who he is I wish I did though. My life is more of a mystery to me and people, but one day that all changed. I was swimming in a local pool there were several people there but not many to notice anything. Two Hell Hounds tried killing me for the millionth time this month. Fighting the monster was awful hard to do while being in the water. The fight ended after about twenty minutes or so, blood was everywhere, and the pool was nothing but blood now. People ran in terror screaming to the top of their lungs! After the fighting Alice an I decided to walk back home, but that was when it started everything all the blood, all the dead all the monsters, everything. We ran in fear to the house right when we got there her parents were there waiting for us in the car. “Nyxia” they explained, “We have to get you far away from here as soon as we can, and you’re in great danger your being wanted by the gods and goddess. We have to leave now so we can get you to the Empire State building safely it’s the only place for you to be safe. Now go hurry get your things, Alice you too you’re going also you’re the protector it’s you job. Now go you too get ready we leave in fifteen minutes.” “What is this about, I must know this” I demanded. “Not now you must hurry.” They said worriedly. Alice and I ran up to our room packed our things to leave. “Alice what is this all about I need to now I’m really scared right now I don’t understand anything your mom just said in there. I’m so confused.” “It’s all going to be okay, don’t you worry about that hunny we are going to get you to safety but here you’re not safe you’re in mighty huge danger.” “Okay.” I whispered. We left about twenty minutes after that. We had to drive about two hours to get there to me it took forever to get there because I couldn’t stop thinking about what’s going on and everything that’s happening at the moments in the time. Once we arrived and I mean once we got there we got attacked by another a Hydra. I never knew Alice’s parents could fight like they did, well that was just one of my many surprises that I got in one day. After defeating the Hydra we went up the elevator the last floor of the building, well to my surprise it went up more than I thought. Well if you haven’t guessed by now where we are heading then I’ll just tell you, we ended up in Olympus. Yes the place with all the Gods, Zeus, Poseidon, Hermes, Athena, all but one Hades. Zeus is the ruler over all of the gods, and Hades is the god of the Underworld �"otherwise Hell a place you don’t want to go-. “What brings you here child?” a voice from the distance, but yet still a deep voice boomed. “Umm, well that sir I don’t know I would like to know that also.” “You, you’re a demigod aren’t you?” “A what? I’m Nyxia.” I exclaimed confusingly. “Yes sir, she is a demigod a mighty powerful one at that. She does not know of this, we have not told her of it just yet, but now is the time to.” Alice softly and sacredly said. “Ah Nyxia you have come, we have been expecting you here. We have to test you; we need to know who and what you are. You are a daughter of a god, but we don’t know what god that’s why we’re testing you.” Zeus exclaimed. “Wait what is all of this; what the heck is a demigod? Also what do you mean test?” “Bring out the Hell Hounds!” Zeus yelled loudly. That was what I thought they meant by test. I used my fire power and my power to go invisible to beat the monster. When I finished Zeus looked as if he was about to kill someone. He was a dynamite that was about to explode. “This is unbelievable!” he yelled in anger. “I want Hades now! Get him here as soon as you can. He is going to hear from me and I mean hear…no no forget that, Nyxia will you do me a favor?” he swiftly said as he was starting to calm down. “Yea sure I guess I can. What is it?” “You will go to the Underworld and bring Hades to me; if he does not listen and does not come you will have to show him your powers to force him to. And Alice you will go with Nyxia to help her in her way, I do believe you know the ways.” “Yes sir.” Alice scoffed down her words. “Um and why do I have to go get him? Why can’t Hermes?” “You will do as I say young child if you want to keep your life, you will listen and obey me.” Zeus boomed. “Okay sure. So when do we leave here? How do I protect myself?” “That you will find out on your journey Nyxia.” “I guess so?” “You two shall leave now before I kill you, bye now.” After that Alice and I got ready to leave to Hollywood, where the beginning of Hell is. “We will have to get a car to use to get there or else we walk all the way and well that’s just too far.” “Well how are we going to get a car?” “That’s easy; we just find one not being used.” “I guess if you say so.” Well we found a truck and started on our journey to the Underworld. We were driving about two hours until we decided to stop for food, which was not a bright ideal with me being wanted by the gods. As we went in the diner we were being watched but as we came out we got attacked by Cyclopes. He was easy to beat; with his one eye it was easy to get around him to use my fire on him. When we defeated the Cyclopes we ran into Poseidon, it was oddly strange. “I have come to warn you two, ya’ll are facing your basic death going to the Underworld, if Hades does not wish to come or obey you I give you these. They will get you out, you toss them in the air and wish where you want to be and it’ll take you to that place. Just please be safe and come back alive, I’m counting on you two bring Hades to us he is needed.” “Thank you Poseidon we will most likely be using these. It’s also great to know that one of the gods is hoping we will be okay, Zeus sure doesn’t, and he hates me doesn’t he?” I swiftly and sadly said. “No he doesn’t hate you; he’s just really mad right now. He’s mad at Hades, that’s why you two are going to get him.” “Oh that’s just great! We have to go get HIM just because Zeus is MAD at him?! That’s messed up!” I yelled in anger. “I’m sorry about that, I can’t control my temper. I get mad easily it’s not pretty. Sorry Poseidon.” “It’s okay young one, just don’t let it happen again.” “Yes sir.” I calmly whispered. “Okay well I must go now. Bye and good luck to you both.” “Thanks.” Alice and I both say. After running in to Poseidon we started driving again. On the way there we ran in to a million monsters it was trouble, but we still got through it all. We made it to Hollywood in about three days, seemed like a life time though with all the monster fighting. We decided to stay in a hotel room so we can get a good night’s rest, food and shower for the next day to go to the Underworld. It was about two when we left for Hell. First we ran into Medusa. She was not that easy to beat but ouch! She was ugly! Medusa almost turned Alice to stone it was very frightening to see that happen. She undid the wrap on her head and all the slimy, gooey, hissing snakes started moving around her head. Alice cut almost every snake off, one by one they fell to the ground filled with blood and snake hair. We cut off Medusas head and put it on the counter to be found but we duct taped the eyes shut so nobody would get turned to stone. Alice and I left after that, we decided to head to get some food before entering the Underworld because we know there isn’t any food there. After eating we started going to the Underworld to get Hades. Once we got there it was trouble to get in it wasn’t easy at all, we had to bribe the person to let us in. On the way to Hades place it was creepy. The lost souls were screaming and murmuring for help as if they were being put in acid, well I'd think I was being put in it if I got sent to Hell. Once arriving to Hades he was already yelling at us. “What are you doing here Child? I didn’t invite you here. What do you want?” “We are here to bring you to Olympus Zeus wants to speak with you. He sent us to bring you back with me and Alice.” “Why should I go with two young kids to Olympus? I don’t want to, tell Zeus I don’t want to go with you, I rather stay here in Hell and live my life like I always do.” “No you must come with us please, I really don’t want to fight you, you’re already making me mad by not wanting to come and listen to me. So just come so we don’t have to fight, I’m not afraid to hurt an old man.” “O child what have you done now, we shall fight. If you win I’ll go with you, but if I win then you have to stay here and be my slave forever, you’ll never be able to get out. O and another thing, I may be old but I can kick your butt just watch young one.” “You’re on!”  At that moment in time the battle began, fire everywhere swards clashing. I used my fire but that didn’t seem to hurt him much because he also was using fire. We fought for a while until I used a trick on him…I went invisible then was when I stabbed him in the back. He fell to the ground whimpering, screaming and cussing. “How is this?! It’s not possible! I can’t be beaten by a child! Who are you?!” He yelled in terror. “My name is Nyxia-“Wait what did you just say?” “Nyxia” “O my…no wonder why Zeus wants me.” “What do you mean?” I confusingly asked. “Me, Hades, I’m your father. That explains why you use fire and you can be invisible, you have my traits. I’m the one that named you. I guess ole Zeus found out that you are my child and sent you to fight me because he knew I don’t want to come up there. Well I have to go now; I have to face my brother’s about you.” “Whoa how am I YOUR child? You live in the Underworld, I can’t be.” “Well you are child, I went up to Earth one day and I saw this wonderful, beautiful woman �"your mom- and I fell in love with her. I stayed up there for a while and we wound up getting pregnant with you. When she told me I wanted to stay but I couldn’t I had to come back down here before Persephone came back. I went to see you the day you were born I named-as you already know- but I had to leave after a month after your birth. I knew if I stayed id get in trouble. I wasn’t even supposed to have a kid, but I’m glad I had you. Your strong like me, you know how to fight.” “Wow, that’s a lot. I guess I am your daughter. You do know you still have to come to Olympus to me right? You made a deal, so come on we have to get a get on to leave.” “Alright I guess, let’s go. You two grab on to me and don’t let go unless you want to fumble and crash to your fire burning death. Come along now.” Alice and I grabbed on to Hades well my dad and held on tight. It was not fun getting out of the Underworld like that it was very creepy to do, the lost empty souls kept tugging on you trying to get a ride out of Hell. Finally we made it to Olympus after that long ride. “Ah young one is back, and you have brought what I wanted.” “Yes sir I did.” “Hades we watched you in the Underworld as you were telling Nyxia about you being her father, you have broken the oath that we have.” “I know I have but so have both of you, so don’t even go there with me now. We have all broke it now we are all even. I’m the last on to even break it so it shouldn’t even matter to ya’ll that I did. At least I own up to it, and I am proud of what I have brought to this world of life and death. There is no stopping that of which is here and meant to be its just something that happens in the nature of life we all have it. So don’t go judging me before you think of what you have done in the past, and what she might be good for the future she’s a wonderful fighter, and you should accept that. She has come into this world as life as we know it; you just can’t stop it any more than what has already came to us.” Hades exclaimed with great honor in his voice. “Well then, I guess Nyxia can keep her life as we know it. She has proven herself worthy to stay here with us and all the other gods, goddess and demigods. She will be honored with your house here. That’s where she is going to stay while she is here with us. Nyxia I thank you for your great bravery, you did good on your guest. You have earned you stop here in Olympus. You are now one of us. And for you Hades you may go back to the Underworld where you belong” “Okay I shall be leaving now, bye Nyxia I’ll see you around. Come and visit me your welcome anytime you want to come, and yes you may bring Alice with you if you please. Keep working on your fighting you are really great at it, also the fire.” “Okay thanks Dad.” “Well I must be going now, bye all.” “Bye.” Everyone says. “Well Nyxia you are welcome here at any time, you have a place to stay here if you need.” “No thanks I’m good right now, I’m staying with Alice, but if I need a place I know where to come, thank you.” “You’re welcome.” “Well bye I guess.” “Bye now Nyxia see you soon.” “Bye.” I whispered as we walked out of the room. After that we start heading home to I lives and to hope all things go right and nothing goes wrong anytime soon.
