Grow up with meA Poem by Justin Flume
Grow up with me,
Let's watch the leaves, Leaving the trees, As they wither, In this autumn state of mind. Grow up with me, Let's feel the bone chilling wind, Whilst we lie in the grass, Behind your house In this autumn state of mind. Grow up with me, Let's sit on a balcony, And drink a forty, When we're forty, In this autumn state of mind. Grow up with me, Let's fly to New York, And buy an apartment, Have a baby and live, In this autumn state of mind. Grow up with me, Let's leave this town, And move to California, Send our child to school and make love, In this autumn state of mind. Grow up with me, Let's move back to Denmark, And enjoy our years together, Have christmas with our families, In this autumn state of mind. Grow old with me, Let's buy a house with an ocean view, And enjoy it every morning, Have our child visit twice a year, In this autumn state of mind. Grow old with me, Watch me slowly die more and more every day, And then I'll die, And you and our child will cry as you bury me, But I will always be with you, In this autumn state of mind.
