Selfless?

Selfless?

A Poem by Justin Flume

Heart grilling...
The smell of meat cooking..
Hurts to admit that I was always in second place..
That I still help rabbit in some ways..
That I still put her first...

nice. I'd take out the second line though... or somehow replace it with an image to help reinforce the first line. I'd lose the ellipses, too much for such a short poem. The absence would be so much stronger.

You love her?

There are two roads in life. One is the high road to success, pressured, busy, no time for relations. The second is the low road of relations and the enjoyment of nature. You may have made the pick.

A interesting tale in the poem. Like the use of old story and real thoughts. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

This is pretty heart gripping. Such gloomy themes.
