PaperA Poem by Justin FlumeThe paper breaks Red stains the carpet This pain is a comfort Compared to missing My senses dull and incomplete The scent yet lingers in my bones The gentle touch of the ocean Amazes me enormously The light of the moon Scrapes the distant shore of my table Faced down in the distorted ocean Of tears on my floor The blood runs I’m helpless Crippled from the pain Inside of me The soulless vessel that I’ve become I’m gone Far from this world Lost beyond these Distant calling of Sirens Witches in the night Holding my heart Screaming aloud Take It All Away I bowed to king scum I fell deeper and answered to no one The paper cracks Red clouds my eyes I break Suddenly I’m left defeated © 2012 Justin FlumeReviews
