Have you ever..

Have you ever wanted to cry
but couldn't drop a single tear?
Your eyes were so dry,
you couldn't handle your fear.

Have you ever wanted to scream
but nothing came out?
You wanted to be trapped in a dream
so you could freely shout.

Have you ever wanted to love
but couldn't open your heart?
As the stars were shining from above,
you hoped for a new start.

Have you ever wanted to see
but couldn't open your eyes?
Imagining what you could be
if you didn't become your lies.

Have you ever wanted to fly
but couldn't spread your wings?
Find yourself high up in the sky,
wondering what tomorrow brings.

Have you ever wanted to breathe
but instead got choked in your own breath?
Never discovering what's beneath,
you were waiting for the death.
