High Hills

High Hills

A Poem by UniversalSean
"

A poem that represented my battle against myself at the time for the greater good.

"

Release and relaxation was all around me.

The trees full of life.

The wind filled with nothing but wonderful sounds.

And the sky was infinite with levels of heights.

Until I met Heavenly Sleep through the waking sun.

She said she loved me.

So she told me to stay out of the forest or else she couldn't keep her glow.

For her, the one who brings upon the brightest light, I could do this.

But the forest seems to have scarred me.

The tree's branches have scratched too deeply into my skin.

Now I can't stop my need to come back to it, knowing of its relieving essence.

So I hope one day, that essence will become an illusion and my skin will show healed.

Then I can stay amongst the high hills with solely Heavenly Sleep and nothing more than the waking sun.
