I'll Just Smile

I'll Just Smile

A Poem by Juliet
"

---

"
For the first time in months
I can sit and drain the heavy hearted words
from this cavern on my shoulders,
sloshing in bitter envy,
i lick the tip of my pen and try
just a little harder to get the bad taste she leaves
out of my mouth, the enraged trail of emotions out of my heart.
hold still long enough and I'll choke the life right out of her.
This is a promise I'd love to keep, but for your sake
I'll only smile.

This is actually from my perspective. (:
It's how I feel about a girl that I work with. She is trying to rub in my face something that she doesn't have and if I smack the s**t out of her like I'd like to it would only cause the person I want more trouble, so I just smile and keep in mind that she's really a catty b***h.

Well, I assume it is a male perspective. It might very well not be, which makes it even more intricate.

I can really resonate with this. You have expressed great emotion in this piece, yet left it subtle enough that it allows for interpretation. You really captured a male persona - I was surprised to see that you are a woman. Well done.
