An Elephant Never Forgets

An Elephant Never Forgets

A Poem by Juliet
"

:)

"
Is it wrong to envision
The memories that invoke
My fondest emotions
And bring me back to the
Very moment that made me
Whole?

It probably depends on the
Memory that I'm clinging to
Or the actors in the scene,
But just like a favorite movie
I'll replay it, quote it, relive it,
Any way that I can.

Letting go doesn't necessarily
Mean forgetting and
Love, let me tell you.
I'm no elephant,
But you're one thing
That I'll never forget.

I like how you used this old saying to create a unique poem. it feels like a very straightforward statement and that gives this even more power. I think this brief piece may be one of your best.
