Betty

Betty

A Poem by Juliet
"

R.I.P. Betty Jean Hyde. You will be missed.

"
What is it about the familiarity of this land,
So solemn and full of silence?

Death's waltz as the people circle the room,
Embracing each other with saddened hearts and red faces.

Tears streaming down those faces for their lost beloved,
All the warmth gone from the beautiful face we all knew so well.

Sobs of anguish, loss, desperation, and no one knows just the right words to say.
Not one soul knows what to do.

We all rock back and forth on our feet, fidget with our hands.
Our souls so touched by a person we'll never forget.

I can't promise that I'll live accordingly,
But I hope that she's proud of me and will be.

Life will move on; the people will move on,
Though in my heart and many others, she will always be remembered and loved.

There's a certain raw emotion in this piece that really touched me, I could feel tears starting to sting my eyes. This is a very wonderfully eloquent dedication, I'm sure she would be proud to read it :).

I love you (no homo XD) and if you need anything be sure to let me know :).
