I sleep with no sound tonight, 

No melody haphazardly floating 

Throughout my resting place.

Stillness and silence surround me 
As no trace of you is found. 

There are no songs in my heart

To cure the ache these movements created

So slowly, each sonata pulling me further away.

For the cries to tune the minor keys

Are falling upon deaf ears.
