Sunrise, SunsetA Poem by Juliet----Dawn breaks. I wake in a bed unfamiliar With the sensation in my heart That can only be explained As a hybrid of emotion. Too late for apologies, reversals of All the bad acts performed and you, Once my fondest love Were boo'ed off stage for a performance So dreadful that it hurt my heart Just to watch. Having faith in the skill of an actor to consistently perform well Is as that of giving a homeless man money Telling yourself he won't use it To lose all sense of self and control, To buy just one more six pack, and that you've done a good thing. It may help you sleep at night, but the world Is still the sick mess it was before you gave that Chance at hope. Having faith in people is useless When they're all animals anyway. I live through another day knowing That my two cents will never make a difference and The sun sets.
