"
Not Natural

Aria gasped for air as she bumped into a tree. She had been running. Running for too long. Seconds later and she was running again. She was tired and worn out. She was stumbling and already fell once. She got back up and continued to run. She turned her head around and screamed as the person who was chasing her grabbed her and tackled her to the floor. He was on top of her, holding his weight above her. She tried to break free, but he was strong and had his grip on her wrists.

"Let go of me!" She screamed.

"Just shut up." he said calmly with a hint of irritation.

"Let go of me!" She cried out, "Help!!"

He put her hands above her head, holding both down with one hand, and putting his free hand on her mouth. Once she settled down he took his hand away from her mouth and got off of her, still having a firm grip on one of her wrists. He stood up and pulled her with him. They were so close to each other that he could feel her body heat, yet she couldn't feel his. Why was that?

"Please don't hurt me," she whimpered softly.

He let out o big sigh and began, "I'm not going to hurt you. I never planned on it."

Aria became comfortable again but not too comfortable because he was still, ......what ever he was. She sighed with relief, "oh thank goodness!" She looked at him, "what was with your teeth back there." She pointed at her teeth at the word teeth.

He looked at her confused, "I'm a vampire."

Arias widened 5x wider than the original size. She was about to turn around and run when he stopped her by grabbing her arm. She squirmed and screamed, "let me go."

He was just holding her like she was a feather, not using a lot of strength to keep her from running. "I already told you I wasn't going to hurt you. Aren't you lost, you're going to  Creature Jones University. Right?" (Where I got the name: 03/the_evolution_of_monsters/)

She stopped trying to escape and finally just relaxed to her normal self. Still keeping a close eye on him. She nodded in response. "Yes, why do you ask?"

"I'm going there too! On the way you can tell me what kind of monster you are."

"Monster?"

He chuckled softly, "Yeah, monster. You know a  creature that is typically large, ugly, and frightening. In human terms that is!" (Google "monster definition")

"Ummm? I'm not comfortable with telling you," she said as the reached the gate to the school.
"Fine have it your way," he smiled at her. "My name is Damion. Are you comfortable with telling me your name?" He teased.

She nodded, "Yes, I'm Aria. Well we must go our separate ways!" She waved as she entered the female dorm rooms.

-

'Oh mom! Where am I! Dad brought me to this new high school. Why did he ask me what kind of monster I was. Is everyone here a monster?' She thought.

"Hi!" A high voice said, breaking Aria from her thoughts.

She turned around, "um hi!"

"Is this your room," she asked with a huge smile. Aria nodded. "Oooooooh this is my room!!" She squealed and aggressively pointed to the room across from Aria's.

Aria gulped, "O-oh. Cool!"

The strange girl nodded happily! "Very cool! Can we pretty pretty please be friends I'm new here and don't have any friends and I think your new here to do it's perfect. Oh but your so pretty and you probably already have like 2000 friends and like 456 boyfriends or girlfriends or both! Ooooooh can I be your 2001 friend!!! I love the number 200-" she was talking pretty fast and Aria tried to stop her by interrupting her, it worked.

"Umm I am new here. I only have one friend. You'll be my second. And I don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend. I proffer boys."

"Oh! That's cool too! And sorry for talking so fast. I'm surprised you understood me."

"My father is a bidder. I always went with him to listen to him talk fast and the other people talk. It's normal in my family." She closed her eyes and smiled.

"I suggest your human," the girl said coldly.

Aria's eyes shot open wide. "H-how do you know?"

"Because all monsters are taken away from your parents right after being born. It's okay if your a human. I just hope your okay with me being a succubus."

Aria nodded straight away. "One question."

"Hm?"

"What exactly is a succubus. I've heard of them, but not exactly known what they are."
"We take sexual energy from men. The energy is sorta like our food. I can take the energy from them by just touching them but I only get a taste. A kiss is a snake. Making out a simple breakfast. Forced sex is a low meal. Consensual sex is a buffet table."
Aria started at her for a few seconds before smiling, "Umm, that is actually very interesting to hear." She gulped. "I-I must be going now, but I truly want to be your friend." She smiled and entered her dorm.

She sighed and slid down the door to the floor. She hugged her knees. "Hmph. I never got her name. She does live across me so I guess I can ask her later. I better fix up my room." She shot up onto her feet and ran around the room decorating her room. When she finished, she fell into the bed exhausted. "Ugh, I'm so tired." She turned her head to the alarm clock. "It's only two!" She sighed and got up, walking over to the door. She opened the door and stepped out of the building. She started to explore the campus. "Hmm, a strawberry garden." She smiled at the thought of the first time she saw a strawberry. She was probably younger when it was her very first strawberry was seen, but age 5 was the latest she could remember.

-

She was walking was with her mother, they were heading to a special party. The family who hosted the party were very rich. Their house looked like a castle. Big with two towers, the towers were the same size as the house. They approached the wooden double doors and pulled a rope that signaled the door bell. The moment the family opened the door, bursting of laughter and chatter escaped the room. The family smiled and bowed, the father gestured them to enter. They had fun. One of the games was a scavenger hunt. Aria and her mother were walking through the maze when Aria noticed something red and triangle like.

She let go of her mother's hand and stopped in front of it, leaning to inspect it. "Mommy, what is this?"

"That's a strawberry," her mother replied.

"We grow them ourselves," the father of the family added.

Aria's mother looked up at him and smiled.

-

Aria sighed and went on her way. She walked through halls passing everyone who was talking to their friends. She looked up and saw the ceiling was painted. She stopped where she stood and smiled at the painting. She was so caught in the painting she didn't notice someone and they bumped into her. She and the person both fell. Everyone 5ft away noticed, but shook it off and continues talking.

"Oh I'm sorry," Aria said, rubbing her head and gaining her sight back.

"Aria!" The voice said.

Aria opened her eyes and looked up, "Damion!" He gave her his hand and she took it. He helped up and let go of her hand. She held his had for 4 seconds more and when she did let go, she had jolted her arm to her side and locked her fingers with the other hand.
She smiled, "How are you?" She asked looking at his black that fell to the back of his neck. The moving to his light blue eyes that glistened. She wasn't even listening what he had to say.

"Aria," he waved his hand in her face. "Aria!"

She jumped at her name, "Yes?"

He took his hand away and smiled. That was when Aria began to be blush. They started to walk.
"Are you now more comfortable on telling me what kind of creature you are?" He asked as they opened the door to exit the main building and outside to the front yard.

"Ummmm, are you my friend," she asked.

Damon thought for a moment and nodded, "I suppose that word can describe it."

She smiled for a second and then went neutral, "then you PROMISE you will still be my friend when I tell you what kind of creature I am." He looked at her confused, "and won't kill me." She added. He kept his same confused expression on while Aria continued, "I'm human."

His eyes widened and then softened. "Cool!" He sincerely said.

She didn't believe him, that he would take it that well, but she smiled and nodded. "Cool?" She questioned and didn't need a answer.

"I couldn't think of any other word," he replied with a slight chuckle. Aria smiled and they continued to talk and walk together.

Today was just a simple "Get to know the school" day. Nothing big happened. As Aria and Damien walked around, they eventually bumped into the other girl, Tammy. The three of them just walked around and caught up with a tour guide. Turns out not all of the students and teachers were monsters. Aria met a few other humans. She was so glad to have some friends. They all say together for dinner. It was eight when Tammy and Aria got to their rooms for bed. Aria was about to open her door when Tammy spoke.

"Hey Aria."

"Yes?" Aria replied and turned around to face her.

"Umm, never mind." She smiled, "Good night!" Then she quickly entered her room and closed the door behind her.

Aria just shrugged it off and entered her room. She quickly got ready to bed and shut her light off. She crawled under her covers and the last thing she thought of before falling into a deep sleep was the name, "Damien" she whispered as she fell asleep
