Where do they go when no one's watching?

Where do they go when no one's watching?

A Poem by Tigran Avoundjian

Where do they go when no one's watching?
Where do they go when there's no one home?
Do they dwell where the flowers died
Consumed with grief and drowned in gloom?

Drowned in gloom they wait for the day
Wait for the day that the flowers bloom
The flowers bloom and the world escapes
The world escapes the call of impending doom

Where do they go when no one's watching?
When they're lost in space, in daydreams of youth
Who needs hope when Satan's calling?
Satan's call beckons you

To taste the fruit on the branch of power
To taste the fruit of seeds sown below
But they wait for the final hour
When the light will destroy the gloom

The sun will rise and bring the day
Bring the day that the flowers bloom
The flowers bloom and the world escapes
Escapes the call of impending doom

From the mountains I hear sunlight calling
Sunlight calls and the world's renewed
Hear the horns from the purple mountains
Hear the calls from where the flowers bloom

Hear the calls of celebration
On the day that the flowers bloom
Hear the calls as the world escapes
Escapes the call of impending doom.
