Cocaine Minutes

Cocaine Minutes

A Poem by Tigran Avoundjian
"

old restored.

"

I wake up in the morning
Put on my heroin pants
Eat my LSD pancakes
And watch the cocaine minutes go by

Swimming through reveries
Of psychedelic circuses
Circumscribing my spirit
Muttering inaudible curses

My daydreams turn to nightmares
Filled with clowns with red hair
Eating my being without a care
Tearing away until there is nothing there

Flashes of lightning
And bombardments of thunder
Reaching up and pulling me under
Watch me fall, while you rape, pillage, and plunder

Watching the cocaine minutes go by
Eating my PCP sandwich
Taking off my heroin pants
And going to bed.
