Infinite

Infinite

A Poem by Tigran Avoundjian

Eyes watching from celestial clouds

Looking out from behind intergalactic nebula

Veiled in smoke and mirrors

Our lives are connected

Our hands chiral carbon copies of each other

Imprinted and outlined with the same black ink

That drips from the tip of a divine magic marker.

Shadows of Shiva

Spirit of Vishnu

Smiles of Brahma

Shine your light upon broken fragments of glass dreams

Reflect your goodness upon the madness of this beating black heart

Upon the innocence of a stillborn fist

Upon the pangs of weeping widows

Upon the bliss of climaxing lovers

Upon the euphoria of eating grapes

Upon the fires in the eyes of the impassioned artist

Burning his world down in a crescendo of beauty

We are the heavenly bodies

Infinitesimally small

Infinitely mighty.

Very nice. This is a good example of a not-so-common poem. I like the concept and depth as well as the word choice and structure. Thank you very much for your entry into the Any and All Poetry Contest. You have made it into the first cut of finalists.
