‘The LORD is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.’

As the phrase goes, like father like son

The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree

The phrases are endless terms of endearment to describe heriditary traits or genetics.

When we examine the evidence, we find that what a person does, thinks, feels, and is generally exposed to environmentally, affects the outcome of their genetic code.

As its transposed and combined with that of the reconciliating factor in genetic progression, retranscripting genetic material from one participant over that of the erroneous genetic flow pattern formed by the inclusion of genetic code from a faulty genetic synthesis signaling pathway or damaged integral heriditary genome of the person with a predominantly damaged or complicated hereditary code, 

creating equlibrium as genetics

Is quite intuitive since its the observance of life.

In the verse quote “He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the inequity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.’

It’s making a statement specifically about those who are despondent to changing their actions,  affecting their genetic contribution to future generations.  

They are not cleared of the genetic corruption and the tendency for destructive behavioral traits, 

particularly strong barbaric tendencies that seem to express themselves differently amongst the population pending on nurture

As nurture affects nature.
