A Poem by The Unforgiven

Step into the light
The dream has died
It's all been a myth
Yes, they all lied
The truth is impaired
Ask the lord of flies

Where to go?
The cold desert of time
Just what the f**k
Was my goddamn crime?
Wrought to my knees
Barely in my prime

My mind is my cell
It's walls impregnable
Losing who I am
This is unacceptable
Can i find myself
Highly improbable

Rotting away
My bones become dust
I leave behind my story
It will survive, it must!
To warn of the cruel
The heartless and unjust

I thinks it's about the loss of the dreams of the future we had in youth. And the overwhelming suck of adult life. As well as wanting to find solace and to be remembered. I do hope you find the solace you need.

Interesting poem- meaning is highly interpretable as I am unsure if the speaker is an old person speaking about death, a prisoner on his last leg, or maybe a man questioning all hes fought for. Good job.
