Can We Stay Like This Forever?A Chapter by UnforgivableTwo anonymous characters share a sweet moment in the dark
They were so close. Laying only a few inches away from them, I felt the warmth radiating from them. If only they knew how I really felt about them.
It was dark, so they couldn't see the way I stared at them. All I saw was the blurry outline of their features, but I could still imagine their beautiful face. Lovely blue-gray eyes, tanned skin, soft lips. I'd imagined being this close to them before, but never dating to hope it would actually happen. Of course, I always dreamed we got closer. "Where are you?" I asked softly, the words interrupting the comfortable silence we'd found. "I'm right here." They said. I could hear them smile. "I can't see you in the dark." I whispered. They spoke one word: "here." I felt their warm, gentle hand (god I love those hands) find mine. They lifted my fingers to their face. My breath hitched. "See? I'm right here." I heard them say. My fingers moves to cup their cheek. I couldn't help it. I felt them smile, and soon their hand came up to hold mine. I made a soft humming noise to show my pleasure. They giggled at the sound. "I love you." They said, their voice softer than normal. "I love you too," I responded, "so much." Their free hand reached to brush a lock of hair from my forehead. They smiled, and I smiled back. We were so close. I could feel their breath as they exhaled. "This is going to sound weird," I heard them say, "but I really want to kiss you right now." "What are you waiting for?" I dared to say. There was a pause, and then their lips touched mine. I felt as if I had never been happier. I'd dreamt of something like this, but my imagination couldn't predict how amazing it would feel. They pulled away, and I lay there, breathless. "Can we stay like this forever?" I asked. They giggled again. "Of course we can." © 2023 UnforgivableAuthor's Note
