Just One More DrinkA Poem by UnderestimatedCharm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a women who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Proverbs 31:30Just One More Drink You drink it And now you’re
drunk You can’t tell
what’s right and what’s wrong The fragrance, the
warmth of it is ruthlessly tantalizing Their words are
like an enchantment A polishing of the
appealing skin But deep within
you are fading endlessly You just want more
of it The approval, the brilliance,
the eminence If your ears
deafen when the throngs cheers Then you think you
are fulfilled You have finished
drinking, but no You want more of
it It seems you can’t
stop You still want the
face in the looking glass to be lovelier The figure in the photo
to be thinner Just to have
praise for whom you are And alas, when you
want to stop To halt this insanity
and madness Give a finish to existing
for an adulation filled world You resolve to
have Just One More Drink But you want more © 2012 UnderestimatedAuthor's Note
