PrayerA Poem by UnderINKSome heartbreak.
Rapturing silence in my dreams
Safety from those horrible screams. A notion of sanity I hold so near, To keep away the things I fear. Chaos and havoc invade my head, Everytime I lay in bed. Until my eyes are drifting closed, And reality's traumas decompose. And then I'm left with quiet prayers, Hopes and things you can't compare To the raging tragedies underneath The place I am, where you can't reach. And now I lay me down to sleep, And pray not the Lord my soul to keep. For I shall die before I wake And leave no heart for you to take. © 2008 UnderINK |
