Ode Poem To The HobbitA Poem by UndeadjemI wrote this Ode Poem for my final project in my Creative Writing class last semester. The semester ended on December 17th. It seemed like the perfect time to write a poem dedicated to The Hobbit.
Ode to the little hobbit
that lived comfortably in the ground his long pipe smoldering away a free life of comfy hairy-feet Until one day an unexpected event caused his hairy toes to dirty a perilous journey to reclaim a home Day and night in sun and rain those weary feet strolled further away from their cozy Climbing and running barrel riding and queer lodgings a magical ring that found a new His feet were beat but not alone there were twenty-six others similar and a massive pair of old Through trees and webs his feet wandered disappearing here and there touching zephyrs of wind and fires within Not much they have not covered On the night that eagerly came he found himself tip-toeing upon treasure gold and diamonds silver and pearls the great hall of golden hue Fiery fingers reached for him scorching tips of his toe hair A battle of greed and revenge for wealth his feet shivered against the death The adventure back wasn’t so bad his toes were eager to get back into bed only to ache and go beyond his little green round door again © 2015 UndeadjemReviews
