Blood Red Rome0A Poem by Uncle SpookVenat lyrics
Blood-Red Rome0.
(V-I) She bathed in goats milk and roses, red, whilst violets blew… All the sweetest saplings, that in the forest grew! Our names circumscribed in heart bedizened her wan forearm flesh… With her bath tinted crimson, she awaited death! And with legs spread, wanton, where knived fingers may prick… She took languid beauty sleep, as viscid blackened wax did drip -- There ‘long her bare breast -- O’er which glands salivated… From within their hidden crevices, the wood wherein they waited. (Pre) Of the plentiful seeking eyes, two were I… I sought a song-bird whom cried “my, oh my!” For heaven was in short supply of angels to harp… So, for this nightly caller, thread-like shadows part. (Ch) Oh, whoa-ho-ho! I’m your blood-red Rome0! Milady, Juliet, your blood will flow! (V-II) When first we met, a wide-eyed child you were… Gaily bedight in feather; Adorned in fox’s fur! An angel lost from heavens high, lain out ‘long the earth… Dew scented, leaf-ed haired, looming o’er me alike a curse. Lips, a crimson cast, as sanguine midnight… Eyes of fog laced moors bathed in moon's-light! Long have I waited to pierce thine heart and taste thine meat… Quills are the blades of poets, and sharpened tongues cut deep! (Pre) I am the heart and soul of age… Freedom rests beyond your gilded cage! Ink is thine blood wept from feather’s end… A song upon phoenix down -- lost upon the wind! (Repeat Ch) (Bridge) Frilled heart encumbered with woe... I'm your Blood-Red Rome0! Milday Juliette your blood will flow! Moons, skeletal, are in thine grasp… For heaven is soon to collapse... And upon it’s shattered fragments you and I shalt dance! © 2012 Uncle Spook |
