Shivering

Shivering

A Poem by ~Unashamed Love~

I close my eyes and wish

For air to be easy to breathe.

But I still miss you and your light,

And my heart is empty.

Each step ahead sends me back and trips me.

I fall, fall but never crash

My knees are scraped but I don’t move,

I wait, wait but never see

Why they took you away from me…

There is such a longing here.. reaching back for what was... an emptiness and pain in having to let go... and the falling... I've felt this way before and could relate so well to your vivid imagery. Excellent write.

Nice job. You did a great and creative job in describing your feelings. Sometimes loss really does physically hurt.
