Broken

Broken

A Poem by ~Unashamed Love~

What you say now won't stop the bleeding
For my life is already ending
Your fingers so tight around my heart
Keep holding me till I can't breathe
Why can't you see I'm falling apart
The smiles on your lips hurt so deep
I'll try to run away from here
Breathe again, wipe away my tear
In your eyes, all those words unspoken
But I'm still sitting here, broken

This is a quiet piece describing a painful event. Those that we long to love us always hurts us the most. Sadly, they continue on unaffected and we're left behind picking up the pieces that the shattered us into. Nicely written.
