Dead End Street

Dead End Street

A Poem by ~Unashamed Love~

When he woke up
This afternoon
He thought the world
Was ending soon
He packed his bags
Ran out the door
Only to find
That all he bore
Was the heavy weight
On his shoulders
And the rotten smell
That still lingers
The results of
His twisted mind
The certain end
Of all mankind
So he stopped
And slowly fell
Down to the floor
Way down to hell
The only thing that he will find
Is the pain deep in his soul
Something that will make him blind
Never again will he feel whole
Just wishing he could forget
What happened on this planet

this feels so isolating, hopeless, i love it.

Hm, it seems to be about someone who has is unstable and has done some things that he shouldn't have done, and is now being punished as the world comes to an end or something of the sort. Written very well, love the flow of it.

This really made me think about what he might be going through. I had to read it twice... My guess is that hes sort of a lonely guy and a bit unstable. Very well written!
