Message in a BottleA Poem by Ryantitle is a work in progress.Standing on the shore, gazing towards the horizon. A tangerine sun struggles to stay afloat of a calm, periodic ocean. Each swell of the tide rolls in at a hypnotizing rate. I bury my feet in the sand. I long for the water to reach my toes.
Standing on a sandy beach in San Diego, or in the twelfth row of a concert featuring a band I’ve never heard of; Sitting on a dock in Seattle, or catching a glimpse of a buss passenger bound for Eugene, Oregon; I watch contently, not even ankle deep in the water. One misplaced toe throws off the complex simplicity of it all. One misspoken word shatters a lifetime of hopes and wishes. © 2011 RyanAuthor's Note
