What I wanted
       wasn't what she did
               and didn't require you
                        to wrap your arms
                         around me and tell me
                      that I'm beautiful
                  What I wanted was
             someone who could
        show me what it
feels like to truly
love another
human
   as my
        self

          Is
            it too
                much to
                         ask if I could
                         hold your hand
                             like in my dreams?
                                     Just for a second,
                                  long enough for me
                            to believe for one moment
                        that I can be your princess
                    I can be the one who will
               be by your side when
           nobody else wants
      to help you
            I will be
                whoever
                     you desire
                        or whatever
                            you dream of
                                If you desire me
                                    with a beautiful
      heart; mind
                                     I will do just so
                                    the sole goal
                                  of pleasing
                                  if that's
                                    what
   you
      say
