I tried to open my eyes and see what was in front of me, behind me, around me... But that was impossible. Every time I opened my eyes, all I saw was darkness. For a moment, I thought I had gone blind. Then I felt fabric running over my eyes and I realized that I was blindfolded. Then, I tried to remove it, but I found out my wrists were tied and so were my ankles. I started to panic and I tried my hardest to get out of this trap.

I started to cry and I couldn't keep myself calm.

   "Clay?!" I cried.

The room was silent and not a sound came from anywhere or anything. But then I heard someone, a girl, shakily say, "Don't talk, please..."

"Tell me what's going on! Where am I? Why am I tied up?" I nearly screamed.

"Be quiet," a male voice said, almost angrily. "You'll get us killed."

The room fell silent again. I cried and cried and neither of them said anything. I'm sure they all feared for their lives, just like I did. It didn't make any sense for Clay to do such a thing! He wasn't that kind of person! I fidgeted with the ropes around my wrists and tried to get out of them, but it was hopeless. I tried with my ankles, but the ropes were tied too tight and it made my ankles sore.

I heard a loud noise that seemed to come from my left. I jumped when I realized someone had opened a door and came into the room. I heard the girl shakily sigh. She knew someone was there, too. The boy remained silent. Tears continued to pour from my eyes, but I muffled my sobs. Then suddenly, I felt someone tugging on the blindfold that covered my eyes. They were untying it. Once it was finally removed, I looked up and saw a tall, masculine man standing before the boy who had warned me earlier, taking off his blindfold, too. The girl, who was on my left, had her eyes wide open, and she looked terribly frightened. She looked at me as the tears streamed down her cheeks. I couldn't help but blame myself for this. Maybe if I would have shut up this man wouldn't be in here. I had no idea what he was planning.

"You all are not to be talking to each other," he started.

The boy on my right just stared blankly at this man, but I could tell his was angry by what was going on. Both me and the blonde (the girl on my left) were crying and I just couldn't control my tears. There was a knot starting to form in my stomach. I could just barely see everything that was going on before me, which made things worse. I tried to stay calm, but it was impossible. In no way was I going to be able to stay sane; not in this situation.

Then this man who stood before us started going through a list of threats, all of them gruesome and frightening. I didn't want to believe it, but I was almost sure that this list was from Clay. Amanda started trembling violently next to me and she started sobbing uncontrollably. The man grabbed her shoulders tightly and yelled at her to stop crying. It only made her cry more, though. He stared at her, his hands still on his shoulders, but she just looked down and cried. I stared forward and shook, keeping my cries soft. Then the man let go of her, but she kept her gaze down. He finished telling us all the threats and then left the room, slamming the door behind him. I sighed shakily and looked over at the blonde girl. Her whole body shook and then she looked at me.

"You need to stay quiet," she said, starting to glare. "I don't want him to come back..."

I just stared at her, not feeling absolutely terrible for her. She's the one who couldn't control herself and almost got hurt. Who was she to order me around? I understand that she was frightened, but that's going a little too far. I wasn't going to tolerate that. I just glared at her.

"Listen, my name is Vincent. That's Amanda," the boy said. "We're all here because apparently we all know something about what Clay is planning and what he's going to do. In other words, we-"

He stopped when the door opened again and the man was back. He walked over to us again and I was surprised when he gave us all a meal. It seemed kind of out of place in a situation such as this. But I guess Clay wasn't as cruel as we were all beginning to think he was. I looked over at Amanda. She was refusing to eat. I wasn't sure why she would do such a thing. We didn't know when we were going to eat again and she chose now to be stubborn! Vincent and I ate, but not extremely thankfully. I felt like I was surrendering in a way, which is probably how Amanda felt. That probably explained why she wouldn't eat.

When the man left, Vincent continued in a very hushed voice, "We know too much about Clay and what he's doing. That's why we're here. That's why he kidnapped us. And just like any other psycho, he tied us up and he's most likely going to question us. Neither me or Amanda know what's going to happen to us when he's finished..."

I looked at Vincent with still-teary eyes. I felt so helpless and hopeless. I didn't understand why Clay would commit such a crime. He was always such a sweet, happy, generous person. But then he did this! It felt like he was a completely different person now, no longer the friend I once knew and loved so much.

Suddenly, out of the middle of no where, Amanda began to sob uncontrollably again.

   "Amanda! Be quiet!" Vincent hissed.

"Shut up, Vincent! Do you know what's going to happen to us?! He's probably going to kill us!" she practically screamed.

She then stood up and turned sideways to the brick wall. She cried and cried, and then started throwing herself at the wall. She smashed her head into it and her entire left side. I didn't know what to do, I couldn't stop her since I was tied up! Vincent couldn't do anything either.

"Amanda!" he whispered, trying to see if he could stop her before someone came in.

But she didn't listen. She continued to throw herself at the wall. I had no idea what was going through her mind, but she was really startling me.

The man from earlier entered the room again. He slammed the door shut behind him and made his way over to Amanda. He had a needle in his hand and he had a merciless expression on his face. She didn't stop what she was doing, though. Not until he grabbed her arm and she started to panic even more. He jabbed the needle into her and she automatically became quiet. Once she was out, the man gently set her back down in her chair. I had started crying all over again just from the traumatizing scene she had played out. I couldn't look at her; she had blood running down from a cut on her head and her arm was bleeding, too. She just sat there, silent. Vincent just looked down and didn't say a single word and I did the same.

"You two need to remain quiet or the same, if not worse, could happen to you," the man said before he left the room, leaving me and Vincent alone again in the dark.
