Dearest Sandra

Dearest Sandra

A Poem by Anonymous
"

Written for my grandmother Sandy in the point-of-view of her late husband Ron.

"
Dearest Sandra,
The fearless and the ever so strong
Just because I’ve fin’lly lost and gone
You’re still my heart and soulmate
I’ll kiss good-bye from pearly gates

Heartbroken once, twice, now three
I’m sorry your smile I can no longer see
Your tears I cannot wipe from your cheek
But I know that your heart is never weak

You wrap yourself in desert moonlight
Singing how it’ll all be alright
Your tremb’ling voice whispers otherwise
You never wanted to cry good-bye

Dearest Sandra, your smile’s worn
Hope for a day of change every ’morn
Our memories will last beyond reality
Within our love there is no mortality.

My grandmother, Sandy, has recently separated with her boyfriend Dan. She lives literally in the middle of nowhere in Arizona, alone, with no vehicle. She’s very lonely. She’s been divorced after giving birth to my father and his two brothers, remarried to her soulmate, Ron, and experienced Ron’s tragic death. She then was with a man named Dan until they broke up after moving in together. She now has almost nobody to talk to and has no way of getting around. This was written in honor of her and her everlasting soulmate, Ron.

I don't know what else to say besides the fact that I found this to be amazingly well written. It was so good, yet kind of sad. At the same time, though, it almost seemed like there was a little speck of hope in it. I may be wrong, but that's how it seemed to me. I added this to my favorites :3 Wonderful job, Cloud.

A powerful and strong poem for Sandra. You are wise in life. Good people give love and friendship to the precious and kind people. All we can do to the people alone is insure they know you care and love them. A excellent poem. Thank you.
