(A) Thirty-nine of your roses
Endless dawn after dawn
The hundreds of memories
Yet in the morning you’re gone
(CHORUS) Where’ve you gone off to?
Why did you leave?
Is this the price I pay
For being so naive?
I let you right in
And what did I see? That you truly weren’t
The right one for me
(B) I wake the next morning
And you weren’t there
Is this what I get
For trying to share?
I wore my heart out
Onto my clear sleeve
And you sped up; out
Deciding to leave
(CHORUS)
(C) To honestly think
I was truly naive
It’s time to pull out
This sword from its sheathe
I’ll fight it right through
Until my heart bleeds
I’ll scream til’ my throat’s raw
Is this what I need?
(WHISPER) I let you right in
And what did I see?
That you truly weren’t
The right one for me
I found this in an old journal from last year. It was wrote for a band I came up with called Sixpence. (That actually might be a real band. I have no idea, but this song is ORIGINAL and I have all rights to it.)

The meter of your rhyme is to die for>>> And the hurt pierces the skin like tips of daggers>> music (a great form of poetry, btw) is such a great avenue to disgorge the feelings churning inside us>> And for me, this melodious spew can't help but be felt>>
I like how you write everything down in journals, too. (That's usually what I do.) it's really helpful. At least I think so. Anyways, nice song! It sounded kind of sad, but it was good. I think it flowed well, too. You should write more songs for this band you've created- Sixpence. Cool name by the way :3
