Chapter FiveA Chapter by Anonymous
"Wake up, runt!"
I heard muffled, gargled voices outside my head. My mind felt fuzzy, and I felt like there was something stuck in the back of my throat, which made me gag. I tried lifting myself off of the wooden floorboards. "Get up!!" the voice shouted louder. I felt kicks in my side. They dug into my ribs, and I heard something snap as the kicks got harder. I cried out and sat up, flailing my arms and legs around in an attempt to get whoever was kicking me away. I hit nothing. Opening my eyes, nothing was there. I was in a wooden cell, and there were no windows, only an old door covered in locks. The ceiling was glass, and showed the black night sky. "Is... Is someone there?" I called out. When I spoke my side stung like heck. I cringed and held my hand to my ribs. I bit my lip to keep from screaming in pain, but when I did, something sharp peirced my lip and broke the skin. Hot blood began to rush out of the raw skin. "What the hell?" I said softly. I noticed a piece of broken glass from the ceiling on the floor. I picked it up, despite the pain in my ribs, and held it to my face. I saw my bloody lips, and my teeth. I gasped. My teeth were sharp like a snake's fangs. My eyes were still blazing scarlet, and the dancing black tattoos on my face still went back and forth from winding around to spelling "SERPANT". I screamed and threw the glass away from me. It hit the wooden wall and shattered. "What is going on here?" I muttered to myself. "I'm... I'm a monster..." "You're not a monster," I heard a little girl say. I froze. It was her. "You're my friend, Zesika!" she giggled. I whipped my head around and saw the little amber-eyed girl. She walked towards me with her arms outstretched. "No... I'm not your friend!" I screeched. I tried to move away, but she came to me. She wrapped her arms around me. She pulled me into a hug. I was frozen in her grasp. Tears fell from my eyes as I waited for what she would do next. "Why are you crying, Zesika?" she asked, still hugging me, her head rested on my shoulder and her arms cradled up against my back. "Y-y-you..." I tried to stutter. "Don't you like me?" she asked innocently. "Like you? You tried to kill me!" I shouted, regaining control of myself. She laughed, fading back into the air. She was gone. "I was trying to get you to remember," she said from the shadows. I tried to see her, but failed. "Remember what?" I demanded. "Remember the spell, silly!" "The spell...?" I remembered now. I never used the spell of Healing until then. Now it was in my heart. I was silent for a moment. "So everything you did was to help?" I called out. The girl laughed again. "Of course. Why would I try to harm the chosen weilder of the Serpent Blade?" she said. I pulled back. "Why is everyone mentioning this... Snake blade thing?" I asked the invisible girl. "The Serpent Blade. You were born as the chosen one, Zesika! You are the one destined to find the Serpent Blade and destroy Orda, the leader of the posessed Gerodan. She is the cause of the dark power that flows in, and she controls every creature of the shadows, including the cold bloods." "What? This is crazy! Why am I hearing about this now?" I demanded. The girl was silent. The wooden room was gone, and replaced with an endless white room. Three women sat before me, all sparkling and gorgeous. The first, had wild, fiery red hair and blazing amber eyes. She wore an earthy-brown tunic top, and red shorts with holsters. She wore big brown boots and rugged gloves. The second woman had extremely long blonde hair tied into three separate parts, and rich dark green eyes. She wore a revealing green gown, that parted in the shape of a diamond around her stomach. She had bare feet and her arms were covered in green bands and golden bracelets. And lastly, the third woman had short night-black hair and deep blue eyes. She had on a ocean-blue silk top and a long flowing skirt. She wore diamonds and sapphires on a tiara that dressed her head. She had a necklace that bore a blue jewel and wore light brown sandals. "Who are you?" I asked. The red woman spoke. "I am the Goddess of Earth and Fire, Din." The green woman spoke next. "I'm the Goddess of Nature, Xion." The last woman of blue spoke last. "I am the Goddess of Oceans, Iliya." I stood in awe of the three. I dropped to my knees. "There's no need to kneel to us at this time, Zesika, dear," Xion said gracefully. "You're more powerful than all of us," said Din. "You carry the possession of the Serpent Blade," said Iliya. I looked around, trying to see where that little girl went. "You're wondering where the little girl went, dear?" asked Xion. I gulped as I turned to her, still surprised they were Goddesses, and mostly, that I was more powerful then they were. "Y-yes," I stuttered. Din laughed. "I'm right here, silly!" I heard the little girl say. She dropped from the ceiling and in front of me. She smiled and started to look differently than a little girl. A white light peirced her face, and she became a beautiful woman, just as gorgeous as the other goddesses. Her eyes constantly changed, like a moving rainbow. Her long dress was the same, and it was tied around the waist with a sparkling golden sash. Her shoes were boots, but cut off shorter than Din's. They were gold as well. Her long flowing hair was like a rainbow just like her eyes and dress. She wore a shining crown on her head, with a snake design dancing across, as if alive. Just like the black tattoos on my face. "I am Zy. Queen of Goddesses," she said in a rich, mesmerizing voice. I fell down at her beauty and powerful aura. To think she was the little girl that tried to kill me. "Is this a dream?" I asked weakly. "No, Zesika. You've been called here by us for a reason," Zy said. "Then why? What's the reason?" I asked her. "You ask too many questions, girl," Iliya said behind Zy. "She's only curious," Din challenged the blue goddess. "Why do you think we chose her?" Xion said. "Peace, Sisters," Zy said. "Zesika, I think it's time for you to know." "Know? Know what?" I said. Zy paused and laughed quietly, holding her long, graceful fingers to her smiling face.
