DarklingA Poem by UbiquitousYou breathe the shadows, My lovely. You walk on a cloak of dark And you smell of soot. Ashes are too bright, The sun would burn you up. Let’s hide in the shadows my lovely, I’ll shade your sensitivity. Hide from the world under your trench coat, I’ll protect you from the angels of the light. Demons of the dark are your friend, They make you feel welcome in the darkest of the night. © 2012 UbiquitousReviews
