It Would Be Useless To Title This Anything More Than 'pointless'

It Would Be Useless To Title This Anything More Than 'pointless'

A Poem by eli mercuree rue

Dear god,

I use to pray that the endless

Days of my shame would be washed away

By the crest of one man’s feet

And the jaw of another’s deceit

I would be free to be everything except me

And live out any sane person's biggest dream

Bigotry would caress the side of my cheek

And I would look away

Like it was just another breath of air

Coaxing my cold ear

But now i just don't have the time.
